Daily Itinerary
At 10:30 am the guide provides staggered airport pick-ups at Christchurch Airport; flights arriving before 09:30 (before 08:30 for international flights) are recommended. Visit Christchurch, Lake Tekapo, the Church of the Good Shepherd and the Mount Cook glacier lake district. Breakfast on your own, Chinese lunch, dinner on your own. Accommodation: a 3-star hotel in Omarama.
Head to Fox Glacier and explore the natural glacier scenery of the West Coast. Breakfast at the hotel, Chinese lunch, Western dinner at the hotel. Accommodation: a 3-star hotel in the glacier village.
Free time in the glacier village in the morning; in the afternoon, travel through beech rainforest to Hokitika to learn about greenstone (Pounamu) and local crafts; arrive in Greymouth later in the day. Breakfast at the hotel, lunch on your own, Chinese dinner. Accommodation: a 3-star hotel in Greymouth.
After breakfast, head to Punakaiki to see the Pancake Rocks and blowholes along a 20-minute loop walkway; then continue to Hanmer Springs to relax in the natural mineral hot pools. Breakfast at the hotel, Chinese lunch, dinner on your own. Accommodation: a 3-star hotel in Hanmer Springs village.
Return to Christchurch and visit the International Antarctic Centre to learn about Antarctic landscapes and wildlife, and experience the Hägglund ride, 4D show and Hug Zone. The guide will drop you at Christchurch Airport around 4:00 pm, where the tour ends. Breakfast at the hotel, Chinese lunch.
