Daily Itinerary
*Meet at Sky Tower between 7–8 am and depart; pick-ups via hotels in the Auckland Airport area.* Leave Auckland early in the morning for an exploration of the central North Island’s remarkable sights. The first stop is ★ Waitomo Glowworm Caves, one of New Zealand’s famous natural wonders. First discovered by a Māori chief in 1887, this mysterious cave features towering stalactites and an underground river winding through it. Led by a guide, glide by small boat into the dark, silent depths of the cave, which feels like entering a galaxy: tens of thousands of blue glowworms dot the ceiling like stars in the night sky, creating a breathtaking sight. Arrive in Rotorua, the “geothermal capital,” in the afternoon. Stroll along the lakeshore and through the flower-filled Government Gardens, and experience the sulfurous scent in the air. Visit ★ Whakarewarewa Māori Village in the Whakarewarewa Valley, one of New Zealand’s most representative attractions. Families still live here; they are descendants of the fourth and fifth generations of Māori people. You’ll have the opportunity to experience authentic Māori culture and customs while admiring dramatic geothermal features. 🌙 Evening suggestion: At your own expense, visit the Polynesian geothermal hot pools, named among the world’s top 20 hot springs. Soak in natural mineral-rich hot pools under the stars, unwind after the day and enjoy the peace and comfort. Hotel: Copthorne Hotel Rotorua or a similar 4-star hotel Lunch: Western buffet. Dinner: Special venison meal—tender game, nourishing and warming.
*International flights departing Auckland at or after 10 pm, or the following day.* After breakfast, begin a day blending culture and fantasy. Visit ★ Hobbiton Movie Set, a pilgrimage site for film fans. Cross lush green pastures and enter the fairytale world of Middle-earth. See iconic film locations including Bag End, Hobbit holes, the Green Dragon Inn, the Party Tree and the mill, and imagine becoming a hobbit and unexpectedly meeting Gandalf. Your professional guide will reveal fascinating behind-the-scenes filming details and revisit classic scenes. Return to Auckland in the afternoon and board a ★ five-star-rated luxury yacht for a bespoke feast at sea. The yacht is 20 metres long and has multiple spacious, comfortable levels, including a viewing deck, boutique suites and high-end facilities, designed to meet your refined tastes. The yacht is moored at Auckland city-centre landmark Viaduct Harbour, the America’s Cup sailing marina and an excellent place to watch the harbour sunset. As the sea breeze brushes past and golden afterglow fills the deck, take in Auckland’s captivating skyline while enjoying a burger set aboard the yacht, creating an unforgettable North Island evening. 🕒 Friendly reminder: If weather or other force majeure circumstances, or flight schedules, prevent the cruise, we will provide a complimentary luxury yacht experience ticket (valid for a future trip) or arrange a refund. Thank you for your understanding and support. Breakfast: Hotel buffet. Lunch: At your own expense. Dinner: Sunset cruise + dinner.
