Daily Itinerary
Arrive at Christchurch Airport, where a Chinese-speaking driver-guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Exact pick-up arrangements are subject to your flight schedule and the confirmation letter.
After breakfast, travel to the town of Oamaru to visit the Victorian heritage precinct; in the afternoon arrive in Dunedin and head to the Otago Peninsula for a wildlife tour. Hotel: Scenic Hotel Southern Cross or equivalent. Breakfast: Western-style at the hotel; Lunch: Chinese; Dinner: Chinese.
Visit the University of Otago, the railway station, the church and Baldwin Street, the steepest street in the world; after touring Larnach Castle, continue on to Queenstown. Hotel: Copthorne Hotel & Resort Lakefront Queenstown or equivalent.
Cruise Lake Wakatipu aboard the TSS Earnslaw vintage steamship, visit Walter Peak Farm and enjoy a royal BBQ lunch; in the afternoon ride the Skyline Gondola for sweeping views over Queenstown.
Enjoy the natural scenery along the way, including Lake Wanaka, the Southern Alps and Mount Cook National Park.
Tour Mount Cook and Lake Tekapo, taking in the lakes, snow-capped mountains and the scenery of the Dark Sky Reserve, then return to Christchurch.
Sightseeing in Christchurch or free time at leisure; exact arrangements are subject to the confirmation letter.
Transfer to the airport according to your flight time, bringing the tour to an end.
