Daily Itinerary
At 10:30am the guide meets arrivals at Christchurch Airport in staggered pick-ups; flights arriving before 09:30 are recommended (before 08:30 for international flights). Visit Christchurch, Lake Tekapo, the Church of the Good Shepherd and the Mount Cook glacial lakes. Breakfast not included; Chinese lunch; dinner not included. Accommodation: 3-star hotel in Omarama.
Travel to Fox Glacier and explore the natural glacier landscapes of the West Coast. Hotel breakfast, Chinese lunch, Western dinner at the hotel. Accommodation: 3-star hotel in the glacier township.
Free time in the glacier township in the morning; in the afternoon travel through beech rainforest to Hokitika to learn about pounamu (greenstone) and local crafts; arrive in Greymouth later in the day. Hotel breakfast, lunch not included, Chinese dinner. Accommodation: 3-star hotel in Greymouth.
After breakfast, travel to Punakaiki to see the Pancake Rocks and blowholes along a 20-minute loop walkway; then continue to Hanmer Springs to soak in the natural mineral hot pools. Hotel breakfast, Chinese lunch, dinner not included. Accommodation: 3-star hotel in the Hanmer Springs township.
Return to Christchurch and visit the International Antarctic Centre to learn about Antarctic landscapes and wildlife, experiencing the Hägglund ride, the 4D show and the husky encounter zone. The guide drops you at Christchurch Airport around 4pm, ending the tour. Hotel breakfast, Chinese lunch.
