Daily Itinerary
From 10:30am the guide meets arriving flights at Christchurch Airport in groups; we recommend flights landing before 09:30 (before 08:30 for international). Visit Christchurch, Lake Tekapo, the Church of the Good Shepherd and the Mount Cook glacier lakes. Breakfast not included, Chinese lunch, dinner not included. Stay: 3-star hotel in Omarama.
Travel to Fox Glacier and explore the West Coast glacier landscape. Hotel breakfast, Chinese lunch, Western dinner at the hotel. Stay: 3-star hotel in the glacier township.
Free time in the glacier township in the morning; in the afternoon travel through beech rainforest to Hokitika to learn about pounamu (greenstone) and local craft; arrive in Greymouth later in the day. Hotel breakfast, lunch not included, Chinese dinner. Stay: 3-star hotel in Greymouth.
After breakfast travel to Punakaiki to see the Pancake Rocks and blowholes along a 20-minute loop walk; continue to Hanmer Springs to soak in the natural mineral pools. Hotel breakfast, Chinese lunch, dinner not included. Stay: 3-star hotel in Hanmer Springs.
Return to Christchurch and visit the International Antarctic Centre to learn about Antarctic landscapes and wildlife, with the Hägglund ride, 4D show and hug zone. The guide drops you at Christchurch Airport around 4pm, ending the tour. Hotel breakfast, Chinese lunch.
